Professional Accomplishments:
After her residency Dr. Bostrom spent two years practicing internal medicine at a referral hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Although exploring the desert was exciting, returning to the southeast was important as Dr. Bostrom has always considered the South her home. In 2013 Dr. Bostrom returned to the Southeast and began practicing at a referral hospital in Charlotte, NC. She became self-employed in 2022. She is providing internal medicine relief services all over the United States while continuing to live in Charlotte, NC. Throughout the years Dr. Bostrom has earned several honors and scholarships. During the last year of her residency she earned the TVMF Waddell Scholarship Award in honor of her service to the teaching hospital. During her residency training she has also participated in research utilizing immunohistochemistry, histopathology, PCR, DNA sequencing and genomics. Dr. Bostrom has presented on topics such as pancreatitis, copper-associated hepatopathy, diabetes mellitus and treatment strategies for diarrhea. Dr. Bostrom has been performing abdominal ultrasounds and ultrasound guided procedures on her patients since 2010. Dr. Bostrom completed the Low Stress Handling Silver Certificate Program in 2023. Dr. Bostrom completed the SDEP® (Sonographic Diagnostic Efficiency Protocol) hands-on echocardiography training course in 2024.

Outside of Veterinary Medicine:
Dr. Bostrom is married to a high school English teacher. She has two mixed breed dogs named Hattie and Mr. Jones. In her free time she enjoys yoga, gardening and crochet. In addition to being an excellent veterinarian, Dr. Bostrom has also completed 200-hour yoga teacher certification.
